APPLE STORE PRESENTATION: The Incredible Whale Photography of Bryant Austin

Bay Area Photography Events and

The Apple Store - San Francisco Present -

The Incredible Whale Photography of Bryant Austin

Date: Wednesday, August 7

Time: Presentation from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Q&E period from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Location: Apple Store - San Francisco, 1 Stockton Street at the corner of Market. We will be on the Second Floor of the store.

Cost: This is a FREE Event

About The Presenter: Bryant Austin is an experimental, multi-media artist whose life-long passion has been exploring the depths of possibility in connecting humanity with the greatest minds in the water. His journey and challenge to recreate the transcendent sensation one experiences floating an arm’s length away from the eye of an inquisitive whale, has compelled him to create breath-taking photo mosaics at “whale scale”- both in terms of size and in the level of detail witnessed in ‘real life’.

Austin's body of work represents the largest and most detailed photographs of whales in the world. His photographs have been met with international acclaim, and has been received enthusiastically during exhibits worldwide, including shows in Norway and Japan – countries that continue to hunt whales.

Here is a link to Bryant's website where you can see more of his images:

Please note: If you are planning to attend, we ask you to enter a Yes RSVP.

If you enter a Yes RSVP and than find that you cannot attend, please take the time to change your RSVP to No.

Parking: There are Tow Away Zones on many of the streets around the Apple store. Some of them end at 6:00 pm so there is usually a lot of parking places available at that time. Other streets have tow away zones that end at 7:00 pm so be careful.

Parking Meters: There have been changes in the times for parking meters so you need to read the signs and also check the screens on the meter to determine the hours of operation for that particular meter.  Some of the meters do not require payments after 6 pm but others do.

The Apple store is also very convenient to public transportation - the Powell Street BART station right next to the Apple store.

Amazing photography and that he was able to get so close (tho not close enough for Bryant). I salute his endeavors to make more people aware of these giant gentle giants.
