Swap & Sew: Clothing Swap & DIY Upcycled Clothing Project

Hey everyone, who doesn't have a clothing pile they have meant to work on? This month, guest host Sarah is going to lead any and all amateur sewers in the fine details of MENDING SEWING! Fix your clothes in a fashionable way to save money and be stylish. Don't know how to sew a button on? Want to fix your jeans hems? We can teach you how!

And as always, let's get together and socialize while we swap clothes and ideas. Bring clean, unwanted clothing to swap with others. We supply the sewing machines, tools, and the know-how you need.

BRING: Clothes for swap, a monetary donation to help pay for the Meetup cost are always gratefully accepted, and a finger food if you like to knosh around a water cooler.

Where: American Steel 1960 Mandela Parkway, Oakland CA. Parking on site. 15 minute walk from West Oakland BART station.
