The Bay Area Improv Transformation Group located in Santa Clara teaches Improv in a safe environment with a wonderfully experienced teacher Marcia Kimmel . Whether you want more confidence in social situations & public speaking, quicker thinking on your feet or just to have some well deserved FUN - this is the class for YOU!

There is no experience necessary, and even the totally terrified or the slightly rusty will feel safe in this class.

Marcia has over 40 years teaching experience and is fortunate to have studied with Viola Spolin (mother of the improvisational theater movement in the US) at the Second City in Chicago and the Spolin Theater Game Center in Hollywood. She also studied with Philip Bennett at the Bennett Theater Lab in San Francisco, one of the foremost authorities in the US on Stanislavski's later work, the System of Psycho-Physical Actions.

Today Marcia Kimmell combines the brilliant techniques of Stanislavski and Spolin to create a place where anyone can overcome self-consciousness or shyness, starting with children's games and ice breakers that invite us to reconnect with the spirit of the child.

Each class is 2.5 hours and part of an 8 week series . The cost is from $45 Per class on a sliding scale downwards so everyone benefits and the class size is limited to 15 students .
