Welcome, Artist's Way members!

This is a creativity-promoting Meetup centered around a book called "The Artist's Way". The book outlines a 12-week series of exercises to promote your creativity, of whatever flavor it might be (me, I write software), and to help you over whatever bumps you might be having with it. We add to the book by meeting in small groups to go through the sequence together, to congratulate each other on work accomplished, to commiserate on work not accomplished, to nudge each other a little from day to day, and to generally give support to whatever’s happening with your creative work.

The purpose of the Meetup as a whole is to organize these small groups. About one new group a month is created; group-creation happens whenever we have enough new people in a given area. So far most of the groups have been in Oakland/Berkeley, with a few in San Francisco. We do have some scattered interest out in Contra Costa and up in Marin; hoping to get quorums there still. Occasionally people join into existing groups. We are also talking about organizing some "graduate" groups, where people go on beyond the Artist's Way.

In this Artist's Way Meetup we have no professional facilitators and there is no charge at all for participating; our study groups are all purely self-organized and self-directed.

Please post your requests & encouragements freely to the whole group; and in general your help with doing the organizing would be very welcome.
