Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Mountain Biking!

What: Demo via Aptos - Slow and Easy
When: Wednesday, June 29, 2011 10:00 AM

Where: Soquel Demostration Forest - Epicenter Cycles - Aptos
8035 Soquel Dr.
Aptos, 95003, CA 95003

Best of Demo.

Soquel Demonstration Forest is a location that probably ranks in the top three of the favorites of most mountain bikers around the Bay Area. Its official status is different from most other mountain biking locations around the Bay Area: Instead of being an open space preserve, or a national, state, county, or city park, Demo Forest is a state forest.

We will ride either Sawpit, or Corral & Braille combo.

If you still have energy after that, we can do an extra loop.

Ridge Trail - Great Singletrack trail that leads to Corral, Sulphur, Tractor , Braille and Sawpit trails.

Sawpit Trail - The longest single loop possible at this first-rate mountain biking destination.

Braille Trail - Possibly the most-often-ridden route at this prime mountain biking destination, which traverses the most popular Braille Trail.

Corral Trail - the shortest loop off Ridge Trail. Corral Trail starts out as a sweet singletrack, but that doesn't last long; it turns into a fire-road descent pretty quickly.

Meet at parking area at Epicenter Cycles in Aptos:

8035 Soquel Dr

Aptos, CA. 95003.

  • Plan for about ALL DAY - 8 hours if you plan to do the whole ride.
  • Pace: Slow, No Drop

  • Trails: Intermediate Technical trails
  • Advance for Endurance, 35 miles & ~5,000+ feet of climbing.

  • Pack lots of waters enough for a whole day) and Pack a lunch.
  • NOT FOR BEGINNERS.
