Hypervisor-Agnostic Virtualization - BayLISA for May, 2012
Details
Join us at BayLISA this month for virtualization technology that applies (or will soon apply) to multiple hypervisors.
Budget issues, licensing, and the popularity of Whatever-As-A-Service platforms are leading many companies to work with hypervisors that don't come from companies whose names start with VMW, often in hybrid environments including that particular hypervisor platform.
Our first confirmed presenter is Xangati (http://xangati.com/ipm/), whose "360 degree infrastructure performance management" enables you to manage VI/VDI environments from all angles with insights not otherwise readily available from stock VM tools.
Our second confirmed presenter is Hotlink (http://www.hotlink.com/technology/), HotLink's first-of-a-kind virtual integration and transformation platform enables interoperability of all major hypervisors using existing management infrastructure - no additional management console required! With HotLink, data centers can apply the right hypervisor to each workload without sacrificing the ability to interoperate and seamlessly manage across the entire infrastructure.
Our third confirmed presenter is Tegile Systems (http://www.tegile.com/), maker of expandable multi-protocol hybrid NAS/SAN arrays with application aware provisioning.

Thanks very much to Xangati for sponsoring May's BayLISA meeting.
If you would like to present at this meeting or a future event, please get in touch with us through the "Contact us (https://www.meetup.com/BayLISA/suggestion/)" link at Meetup or directors at baylisa.org.
Our meetings are scheduled for 7:30pm on the third Thursday of each month, LinkedIn HQ in Mountain View. For May and June we are back in 2051 Stierlin, in the "Culture Club" room across from the break room.
For directions, point your map tool at:
2051 Stierlin Ct.

This building is at the end of Stierlin beyond the roundabout/parking.
BayLISA includes system and network administrators across a range of skill levels. BayLISA meets to discuss topics of interest to system administrators and managers. The meetings are free and open to the public.
Recent topics have included OpenStack Nova, Dynamic Tracing and dtrace, ISC's BIND 10, new developments in LAN/top-of-rack networking, and cloud computing at Netflix.
We always welcome presentation topics and volunteer speakers. Use the "Contact us" link on this page to get in touch with BayLISA's directors.
Please rsvp here on Meetup to help us plan for attendance.
