BayLISA "Short But Cool" - All Welcome

Details
Here are the currently scheduled short talks -- speakers and details are subject to change (especially if YOU volunteer -- email president@baylisa.org to sign up!).
Ceph Architecture with Roger Weeks:
This will be an architectural overview of Ceph (http://ceph.com/), the open-source, massively scalable storage software. We'll cover the foundations: CRUSH and RADOS, and the ways you can use Ceph in your storage environment: object, block and filesystem.
Roger Weeks spent 17 years in IT doing systems, network and storage administration and architecture. He defected to the business side of things, worked for several years at a Large Storage Company(™) and is now Technical Marketing Manager at Inktank (http://www.inktank.com/).
OwnCloud and Warden with Ben Milman:
Ben Milman, Technical Marketing Specialist at iXsystems (http://www.ixsystems.com/), will be giving a Warden/Owncloud (http://owncloud.org/) demo on PC-BSD (http://www.pcbsd.org/).
Kanban with Dominica DeGrandis (http://www.ddegrandis.com/):
Dependencies often create havoc, but they don’t need to. Patterns are emerging for handling dependencies using the Kanban method. This short talk highlights a few.
Dominica DeGrandis spent most of her career building and automating releases, maintaining environments and synchronizing dependencies between teams. She now travels across the US and Europe, teaching Kanban.
Simple CIFS shares with Joseph Atkinson:
Joseph Atkinson of iXsystems, who spoke at the last Short But Cool, will be joining us to talk about simple CIFS setup for home users. He will focus on the caveats of permissions when setting up shares, and the benefits of Local User (instead of Anonymous) authentication.
Open Build Service (http://openbuildservice.org) with Peter Linnell:
Even wished you could have a tool to natively package your in-house applications? Peter Linnell will give a high level overview of the Open Build Service (OBS), an open source multi-platform package builder for all major Linux distributions.
Peter is an Engineer with SUSE Linux, with prior stints at Cloudera and INRIA (www.inria.fr (http://www.inria.fr/)) He has over a decade of experience with Linux and open source, including founding several graphics application projects.
More details as they arrive.
