Many people have benefited from increased confidence as a result of NLP. Much of the NLP confidence building process has involved teaching a person how to access a confident state with the hope that the person can use this new state in place of less confident feelings. This is basic NLP. If the person feels more confident when speaking to people then the idea is that the newly confident person will have a positive experience and enjoy new found behaviours. When it works then it's great, right?

Of course, most of us have had the experience of having to deal with people that are insistent on power play and imposing their ideas upon us. What if you could learn how to deal with these people? Know what to say and never have someone shut you down or shut you up for no good reason?

During the evening, Thom will teach you field tested methods for dealing with difficult conversational challenges with a very positive side-effect. People realise how to respond, how to voice their opinion, and how to find their voice. This training will produce results in building real conversational confidence. Call it Advanced NLP for beginners. Thom presents with his unique style of finding out the individual needs within the group and delivering a presentation where everyone has something that they can take away and use in their own lives at the end of he evening.

About Thom

Thom Shillaw is a Licensed Trainer of NLP with The Society of NLP, Richard Bandler and is the only trainer in Scotland to teach licensed advanced NLP masters and licensed hypnosis master level training syllabuses.

Thom has appeared in the national press for ‘the world’s first mass hypnosis’ and ‘world mass curing of phobias,’ along with the removal of colour blindness, a condition that scientists believed to be incurable.

A former student of Bandler and Grinder, co-creators of NLP, and direct students of the legendary Milton H. Erickson, and Stephen Gilligan PhD, another long time student of Erickson, Thom’s conversational style follows a relaxed, supportive and deeply hypnotic framework.

He is known for ‘show stopping’ live demonstrations, such as producing dramatic improvement in eyesight and change of eye colour, in order to demonstrate the powerful effects of the unconscious mind.

“I highly recommend Thom. He is a beautiful person with a great heart. I am deeply touched by him. My new learning’s have already begun their flow inward and outward and for the first time in my decade of a career as a Psychiatrist, I can now promise change to people. How absurd and how profound.”

Dr Shehzad Javed MBBS, DPM, MPNLP, Psychiatrist, Glasgow

“Let Thom Shillaw, the Wizard of NLP, beguile you with his magical and remarkable talent. The atmosphere created by this special person will leave you thrilled, captivated, charmed and astonished.”

Jackie McKenzie, NLP Master Practitioner, Fife

“Looking around the room, I could see that everyone, including myself was so captivated by Thom's delivery of NLP that we didn’t want to go on breaks or leave at the end of the day! It was a privilege to be taught by someone who has so much compassion for his subject.” Nicola Jane Swinton, Holistic Therapist, Isle of Arran

“Thom's casual, conversational style of delivery belies an immense depth of knowledge, which he masterfully applies to bring about effortless, lasting change in peoples' behaviour. Hugely insightful and delivered with great humour and compassion; Thom imparts his skills brilliantly"

Donal Boyle, BEng. Hons, Peebles, Scotland.

“I recently described Thom as someone that likes to ‘colour outside of the lines’ as I think this sums up his teaching style perfectly, he is definitely the person to go to if you are looking for something out of the norm.” Amanda Burnett, Complimentary Therapist, Edinburgh "Thom lives and breathes NLP. His passion and enthusiasm is captivating; his knowledge up there with the masters."

Susan Long, Brighter Mind Advanced NLP and Hypnotherapy, Edinburgh
