For the potluck please bring a raw food dish to pass (vegan please - no animal products). We encourage live food & organic when possible dishes: various salads, veggies & dip, fruit, healthy desserts. Be creative! If you could take the time and write down your recipe others can see what it consists of. Also bring a reusable place setting to use - thanks.

HEALTHY LIVING SUPPORT GROUP NEWS AND VIEW

We had a fantastic meeting Sunday 2/12 in Elma! I just want to give you a few highlights.

Attendance: 49 -- Great showing despite the snow storm earlier in the day!!

Topic: Gerson Therapy

Food: Outstanding, Bob had to add extra tables to hold it all. Everyone did a wonderful job of bringing creative salads, soups, drinks, and desserts!

Marie will be making the presentation again for the Live Food Potluck on Sunday, February 26th in Buffalo, at Timon Towers on Delaware and W. Utica.

In relation to the topic, I want to highlight a few folks that were in attendance. I think you'll find their stories fascinating and insightful.

MaryAnn: MaryAnn is an RN. The story she told at the meeting (I will try to get all the facts correct as she told them), is that she had been an RN for over 20 years. She was sick and decided to use the Gerson Therapy to save her own life. Through that experience, she realized that the medical community is failing to help people get well -- and that there actually is a way that the medical community could be helping it's patients -- by teaching us how the body becomes ill -- and how it really heals. So MaryAnn decided to do something about it. She got trained by the Gerson Institute (www.gerson.org) to become a Gerson Therapy Home Set-up Trainer. She decided to leave the medical practice where she had worked for a while, in order to work in a facility that can actually teach healing protocols.

When she told her previous employer, an MD, that she was leaving, she asked him if he understood why she had to go. He said, "No". She responded, "Because we don't heal people here." To which the doctor retorted, "It's not about healing people." (Gasp! What???) The physician continued, "We run a business to make money. It's about making money." Not only that, it turns out that behind the scenes, this doctor and his family are using nutritional means to improve their own health, but he won't tell his patients that it might help them. After all, if they got well, he would no longer have them as patients -- which might hurt his bottom line. It appears he's only in it for the financial reward, not the patients. Did you ever imagine?

I really appreciate that MaryAnn shared her experience with us. It can help put some things in perspective.

Bonnie: VACCINATION INJURY. Bonnie was forced by the courts to vaccinate her son when he was a teenager. She had not done so prior to that, because she had studied vaccination theory, practice and history, and she knew the inherent dangers of vaccination were not something she was willing to place upon her son. Within a few weeks of vaccination, he began to exhibit signs of great fatigue. He had to drop out of school. He was sleeping much of the day. He continued to deteriorate. Within a short time he had become vegetative. It seemed there was very little hope for his recovery -- and they were staring death in the face. Bonnie took him to the Gerson Hospital, where they remained for several months. She brought him home and continued the Therapy for 7 years. As Bonnie tells it, he is now a very healthy, large strapping man! He is not only surviving on the Gerson food (vegetarian, non-processed, whole foods), but he is thriving! And he knows that he will live on that food plan for the rest of his life, if he wants to maintain his health. He is living a full and joy-filled life, because when the medical community nearly killed him -- his Mom knew where to find healing protocols.
