BeMyApp Mobile App Olympics Hackathon-build native and html5 apps in a weekend

Starting off 2012 in style with the first ever Mobile App Olympics! The event will be taking place in several cities in the US and Europe during the weekend of February 24-26. As the slogan implies, the hackathon is open to developers from all walks of code, native and html5 apps. A panel of judges in each city will nominate the best app to compete in the finals. A 48 hours worldwide vote will be launched and the global winner will be selected. The winner gets the Gold Medal in Mobile Apps!

The event’s goal is to be a platform focused on building successful startups around the next generation mobile applications and to foster a global community of entrepreneurs.

The Challenge

On Friday evening, registered idea generators have one minute to pitch an app concept to a tech audience. Attending engineers and designers as well as our team of glorious mentors vote for the best ideas that will be developed into applications during the weekend. Teams are formed around the most promising projects and the competition begins.
