What we’re about
Who are we?
Collectively, we are part of the largest percentage of the population, born between 1946 and 1964. We are strong women who are re-inventing age, seeing ourselves (and feeling) much younger than our chronological age!
We know who we are and what we want. We are generally tired of social groups where we seem to be the oldest member. We wish we could just hang out, relax, and have fun with others our own age. We are on TOP of the proverbial "hill", not ready to start going downhill! We are Baby Boomers, hear us roar!
Why was BWBB formed?
When I was looking for a Meetup group to join it was important to me to find women about my age who share a common background. I was not interested in joining a group that had a particular agenda or theme, but was looking for one less formal and open to exploring many different possibilities for excitement, friendship, FUN, and adventure.
I did not find what I was looking for, so I created the BWBB Meetup. This group is now several years in existence and has provided so much enrichment for many others besides myself! We are a group of open, warm, intelligent, fun women who like to do a lot of different things and who have a lot to share. It has been such a pleasure to meet other like-minded women, create wonderful new friendships, and watch new friendships form.
Like many of us, I do not take enough time to play. Life just gets too busy with all the "must do" activities and "to do" lists. I got to a point where it was time to take steps to get serious about having fun and accomplishing things on my bucket list.
Our activities include potlucks, concerts, happy hours ("Friends Hours"), beach trips, birthday parties, wine tasting, bowling, games, bunco, clothing exchanges, jewelry exchanges, and much more. The good news is that what we decide to do is only limited by our imagination and desire!
If you can identity with any of this, want to make new friends, and would like to socialize with other like-minded women to share ideas, experiences, laughter and much more, then this meetup may be for you. (Please, no soliciting of your products/services.)
