4-12 Jim Brown Led Field Trip to Inniswood Gardens

4-12 Jim Brown Led Field Trip to Inniswood Gardens

Details

It is time to take what you have learned in the classroom, and put it to use on location. Inniswood Gardens is part of the Columbus Metro Park system and is a beautiful grounds with many interesting hardscape structures that are beautifully landscaped. With this past winter being what it was - the flowers may be a bit late in coming out, but we will not let that stop us.

Two requirements for the field trip: first is that you understand how to control the settings on your camera for ISO, shutter speed, and the aperture (f stop) in order for YOU to be in control in setting the exposure and not relying on the camera to do that. These are all areas that have been covered in the class room. Secondly - bring your camera manual as I am not well versed in all the brands and models of cameras on the market now. Feel free to bring a tripod, and a flash if you like - but they are not a requirement. This will be weather permitting, so be sure to watch the forecast and the Meetup group for last minute announcements. We will meet under the trellis at the entrance to the grounds.

In case you can not make this field trip, I am planning one or two a month at various locations, days and times from April - October. These sessions will be limited to 12 people, and will be a good chance for you to practice what you have learned.

You can check out images from this shoot last year (April 12, 2013) on the Meetup Learn Photography site. Also check out the link to Inniswood Gradens: http://www.inniswood.org.
