Global Fat Bike Day. Sounds like a good reason to take the fatties out! Please do not RSVP if you don't have a fat bike or have not arranged to rent/borrow/beg one. Also, the HIGH for the day will be well below freezing ~8 degrees so if you don't have appropriate clothing for DOWNHILL winter riding please change your RSVP!

We'll meet at 11:00 am in the Safeway parking lot to arrange carpools to the start of the Tumalo Falls road where Skyliner Rd. dead ends. We will ride up the road to the falls (approx 3 miles). We can decide to ride back on the trail or back down on the road or split into two groups at that point depending on how everyone feels.

It is mandatory that everyone be prepared so please review Gary's lists for winter riding listed on the discussion page! Bring a phone and have in mind someone who you could call if needed. My number is 760 815-5153, please add it to your phone prior to the ride so that you can call me if you have a mechanical issue! Bring hand warmers, food, and a basic survival kit. Wear lots of layers. Wear winter/specific clothing. Err on the side of warmth with your hands and feet. If you don't have winter shoes use warm shoe covers or plastic bags. The high for the day will be below freezing so dress accordingly.

Bike Rating: Intermediate; IMBA More Difficult (Blue) due to type of cycling and the cold temperatures!
