Kickstarter - Now What? Meet Brad Leong and Andrew Chang.

Had the idea.  Went to Kickstarter.  Got the money.  Now What?

Kickstarter is all the rage, and rightfully so - great successes by some great companies - a lot of them located in the bay area.  But what do you do after the funding?  How to find a manufacturing partner, deal with the finances, send out all those thank you gifts..

So, come to the next Berkeley Hardware Startup Meetup and meet successful Kickstarter graduates including Brad Leong (Brydge and Oona) and Andrew Chang from LUMOback.... and see if Kickstarter is the way to go for you.

As usual we'll also have time to drink some excellent local beer donated by Trumer Pils here in Berkeley, eat pizza, meet like minded entrepreneurs and hear what other local start ups are doing (sign up to pitch here).

Please join us!

I hate to be a wet blanket but this was woefully short of even my small expectations. I liked the setting, and everyone was cool, but everything was blanketed by the fact that audially, this place sucked for a meeting. Couldn't hear a thing and left in frustration.

Would have also liked to ask the two speakers: 1) at what stage did they post to ks? (pure idea? prototype? initial production and looking to scale...??? this is important in relation to question #2), and, 2) given that ks throws your idea out to the entire world, how would you protect your idea?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
