Alison Montgomery presents "Emotional Clutter, Your Meditation and Your Life"
Date: Wednesday, 10th October Venue: The Spire, 1901 8th St, Berkeley, 94710 CA Time: 7.30pm - 8.45pm
What is that incessant mental chatter when we meditate? Where does it come from, why is it there, and is there any chance of getting rid of it?
Emotional and mental clutter can block us from the things we want most in life, whether that be experiencing deep states of consciousness in meditation, landing a great job, a deeply nourishing relationship, or taking the steps we need to towards better health. It can even block us from having great sex. The mental and emotional patterns that run our mind chatter in meditation are the same ones that shape the way our lives unfold.
So what is emotional clutter? How and why does it affect us? And most importantly, is there a way to unload it once and for all, to become peaceful, empowered and free and to find some inner peace?
Alison Montgomery, an Inner Space Techniques practitioner who has been studying consciousness and health since 1986, presents an engaging and enlightening talk on the whys and hows of mental and emotional clutter, speaks about why positive thinking only scratches the surface, and outlines a pathway forward to deeper peace both in meditation and in life.
