On the Mountain Top: Experiences of an 8 Month Retreat with my Spiritual Teacher

Join speaker Chris Eskra as he shares with us his experiences of an eight month retreat with his spiritual teacher.

In March 2012 Chris left his life as a busy design professional in Chicago to join a small group of fellow seekers and his spiritual teacher for an 8 month period of meditation and spiritual practice at a secluded retreat on a volcano in eastern California.

Chris will share his experiences from the challenges of stepping out of his life in Chicago, to the astonishing moments of revelation of meditation. He will discuss what it is like studying with a Self-realized teacher as well as how one makes the transition back to the "real world" after a period of retreat.

This is a special chance to talk with a modern day spiritual seeker who took the leap to find out what a path of retreat is really about.

We are pleased to announce Chris has agreed to share his experiences with a small group at our meetup at the Berkeley Spire on Wednesday December 12 at 7pm.
