I am learning ASL and I need lots of practice. I want to be fluent someday and I would like to become an interpreter for young children in a school setting, because I believe that education should be accessible to everyone. I am also new to the bay area and I really want to meet new people and make new friends.
I am new to the area, so I don't really know a lot of places. I am looking forward to being introduced to some nice hangout spots.
I am learning ASL and I know that the best way to become fluent and learn more ASL is to immerse yourself in an environment that not only requires you to sign, but also helps you learn along the way.

Hi, My name is Rebekah, I am a hearing person who has taken two years of ASL in college. I am very interested in learning more and also in becoming an interpreter for young children in the classroom. I want to meet deaf and hard of hearing people.
