This message is about a non-Meetup gathering hosted by a Meetup member.
I'm sending it on behalf of Marcy ([address removed]) so please don't reply to this email but forward all your queries and RSVPs to her.
Fellow Plant Munchers--
As members of the Berkeley Vegan Dinner Club, you are hereby invited to a vegan potluck in Berkeley held by the Contra Costa Vegan group. Normally these potlucks are in Contra Costa County, but this month I am hosting at my house in Berkeley and want to extend the invitation to you.
For six years, I have enjoyed the group that participates in these potlucks and I think you will find the group friendly, warm, and easy-going (not to mention having a good sense of humor, smart, etc.). I'm always in a better mood after one of these potlucks!
Usually about 20-30 folks attend.
My address is 3210 King St.
I recommend Googling for directions, but basically, King St. is west of Martin Luther King Jr Way and east of Sacramento St.; 3210 is south of Ashby and north of Alcatraz.
Here are guidelines to follow for the potluck:
--one VEGAN dish per attendee (ie, couples need to bring two dishes or a double-sized portions of one dish to ensure there is enough food) to feed 6-8 people
--an autographed copy of your recipe to place by your dish for others to read/copy/inquire about
--your own reusable plate, cup, silverware, napkin
--and don't forget a serving spoon
Please be certain the items you bring are vegan, meaning entirely plant-based, with no meat, dairy, honey, or other animal products whatsoever.
In case you have allergies, know that there are three outdoor cats who share this house with the humans. Some of the potlucks are at the homes of canines and are dog-friendly, in case you are interested.
If you'd like more info, please send e-mail to me at: [address removed]
I hope to see you here on Sept. 20th. Please introduce yourself to me if we've never met before! Ask for Marcy.
