We are familiar with industrial pils and Hefeweizen, but Germany has a much wider variety of historic styles and sub-styles that are rarely included in beer tastings.

On 5th February, we will present an introduction to a selection of German speciality beer styles available at Getränkefeinkost, Friedrichshain.
Theme: German Speciality Beer Styles. I will present the history of each beer style and the geographic region in Germany that it is most associated with. We will touch on brewing history before the infamous Reinheitsgebot and how these beer styles have fared in the last century, with the rise of pils as the German beer of choice.
