What are some of the most memorable beers that you have ever tasted?

Fullers ESB, Firestone Walker Double Jack, Waldhaus Diplom Pils, Duvel Special Edition Tripel Hop, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, Mikkeller Blondeaux, Hitachino Nest White Ale, Schönramer Pils, Riedenburger Einkorn, Braumanufaktur Potsdam Weisse, Orval, Brew Dog Zeitgeist and most of the beers from Camba Bavaria, Dogfish Head, Heidenpeters and Sierra Nevada.

What is your favourite German beer, and why?

Waldhaus Diplom Pils. The first german style Pilsener with fresh natural hop that I have tasted. It showed, what a differnece can be made without even leaving the restrictions of the Reinheitsgebot. (Follow up: Schönramer Pils)

What are your favourite beer styles?

Belgian Style Ale, Bitter Ale, IPA, Pilsener.

The Reinheitsgebot: Good for beer drinkers? Why / why not?

It ist too bad that right now the Reinheitsgebot is more a restriction for brewers ideas, than a seal of quality, which it should be or could be. Beer-Germany has been asleep over the last years and is slowly waking up. Let us see what happens after 2016.

Introduction

I am a beer lover from Berlin and find it fascinating to see Germany re-discover beer as somthing for pleasure and not only for thirst. I want to see people in Germany enter a pub or restaurant and not only order "a beer" but have and make a choice.
