Three quick reminders.
• First, don't miss this week's Bern HHH where we will celebrate Romeo's Birthday in a most unconventional way. Moreover, there will be a surprise visitor there!
• Secondly, this Sunday is the Fribourg HHH's 2nd Anniversary. And as it's well-known in the Swiss-Hashing world that the existence of Fribourg HHH is Bern's fault, this month's Trail will actually take place in Canton Bern!
• And finally, a quick note to remind any Hashers who are around the last weekend of May to check out the annual Swiss International Away-Hash in Interlaken (details below). It's a one-day event with the possibility to stay in hostel accommodation for the Saturday night and then enjoy a Sunday of hiking, boat trip, etc. Family-friendly, but very adult-friendly as well! Details for all these exciting events can be found at the bottom of the newsletter.
On-Sec Bern HHH
The “Bolligen non-BBQ Birthday" Hash
Hares: Romeo + BareFiets
Run type: A to A
On-Inn: Restaurant Sternen, Bolligen
Bags: There will be a bag car
What to bring: Money for Hash Cash & restaurant
Running Mobile: [masked]
Word from the Hare: There will be a picturesque running trail and buggy friendly walking trail. Due to global climate change entirely beyond the hare’s control, the traditional Bolligen BBQ will be postponed pending more appropriate weather. But not to worry – the local restaurant has once again kindly agreed to step in and cater for hungry hashers. Hey, they are even making their wonderful beer garden available should the sun make a surprise appearance.
How to get there: By Train: From the Bern Bahnhof Treffpunkt, go down the steps to the local RBS trains. Take the S-Bahn 7 direction Bolligen/Worb. The trains leave eight times per hour at the quarter hours and times in between. The journey takes 11 minutes. Suitable trains would therefore leave at 18:38 and 18:45. At Bolligen station, cross the railway tracks and walk through the subway to the other side of the main road to the car park. Cold beers and a bag car will be waiting for you there. By Car: Drive to Bolligen Station. In the evening there is free parking on the opposite side of the main road. To get there, take the first right (Eisengasse) from Worblentalstrasse.
