This group was created to bring together professional women with similar interests at least once a month for a fun night out for dinner. We also arrange other events such as Sunday brunch, drinks, and dinner and a movie... lots of fun opportunities to meet new people!
The co-organizers represent a varied group... married and single, kids and no kids, new to the area and veteran DC-metro area. We all met through this group and enjoy continuing to get together for a little "me" time with other women.
We’re hoping this group will meet that need for all of us...something very simple yet very rewarding! (Note: We ask that new members use a profile photo of themselves so that we can all recognize each other at meetups!)
Why do you charge $2 for each meetup?
As the organizer of this meetup, I am required to pay $150 a year to have a Meetup group. The $2 fee helps to offset this cost.
Why do you not offer refunds if I RSVP 'yes' but later cannot attend the event?
The reason I do not offer refunds is when you pay the $2 fee via PayPal, I only receive a portion of that amount after PayPal deducts its fee. To offer a refund, PayPal deducts an additional amount so your refund would only be a small portion of the original $2.
