UPDATE: These are actual photos that we took using the techniques we will be sharing with you. Warren and I have spend many hours on honing our techniques to get the best possible results. Warren is actually bringing a Laser Trigger System for you to try out. For example, the top 2 images were shot out doors in bright sun light without flash. This is going to be a GREAT WORKSHOP! Don't spend hours trying to figure it out on your own, let us share with you what we have learned through trial and error. Bring a remote trigger cable to 1/8 stereo plug so that you can connect your camera to our Laser Trigger. We will also have a few available for you to borrow if they match your camera.
This Liquid Motion workshop will provide an exceptional opportunity to photograph objects and liquids that are colorful and fast-moving. During this workshop, you will learn how to capture action using a combination of camera shutter speed and continuous and stroboscopic lighting. This will be a truly fun and educational photo workshop.
At Avanza training center we have put together several work-stations for attendees to use and enjoy. The classroom portion of this workshop will start out with examples of what mood and photo opportunity each work-station will provide. After the explanation, demonstration phase, which will last approximately one hour, participants will be able to use work-stations to create their own unique photographic works of art.
Bring your digital camera, tripod, speed-light, and lenses. You will be shooting subjects from as close as a few inches to as far as several feet away. Lenses from 15 to 100mm in focal length should be more than adequate. Continuous lighting and stroboscopic lighting will be available; however, you may choose to bring your own speed-light that your camera brand is compatible with.
