Apache Kafka Workshop

Hi everyone,

We are very happy to announce the first workshop about Apache Kafka (http://kafka.apache.org/) in Cluj-Napoca.

Kafka is a massively scalable pub/sub message queue architected as a distributed transaction log, making it highly valuable for enterprise infrastructures to process streaming data. It aims to provide a unified, high-throughput, low-latency platform for handling real-time data feeds.

The goal of this workshop is to introduce you the main Kafka characteristics tried by practical examples. We are gonna play with twitter stream datasets ;)
Examples will be explained and written using Java language.

If you wanna try Kafka examples, please bring your laptop.
We will provide soon details about how to install Kafka on your laptop.

For a better organisation of the workshop, the number of participants is limited to 20.
