Big Data Montreal would like to invite you to its 47th meeting!

Join us on Tuesday May 17th 2016 at 6:00PM to attend a conference, as well as to network with other Big Data enthusiasts from Montreal!

The meeting will take place at the ETS, which is located at 1100 Rue Notre-Dame.

All are welcome, no matter if you already have some experience with Big Data technologies or if you're simply curious to learn more.

Cloudera will be proud to offer you pizza and drinks (no alcohol) before the presentation.

• Apache Kudu by Mladen Kovacevi, Solutions Architect at Cloudera.

Introducing Kudu: an open source project that could potentially revolutionize storage in the Hadoop community. Kudu is a scalable storage system that provides a happy middle ground between HDFS and HBase.

• Tony Bussieres et Bogdan Istrate, TickSmith

How TickSmith uses Hadoop to transform market data from various trading venues into usable data for traders.

We will also have a drawing for the early release of Architecting HBase Application book by O'Reilly.

Finally, you are also welcome to join us for some casual networking, in the same room, after the presentations, followed by a beer in a close by location.
