Big Data Montreal would like to invite you to its 49th meeting!

Join us on Tuesday October 18th 2016 at 6:00PM to attend a conference, as well as to network with other Big Data enthusiasts from Montreal!

All are welcome, no matter if you already have some experience with Big Data technologies or if you're simply curious to learn more.

• Spark on HBase, the current state of the Art by Jean-Marc Spaggiari, Cloudera Principal Solutions Architect

Today in BigData world, it is almost impossible to go without Spark. HBase is not an exception and has also implemented all the required interfaces to allow all the possible interactions with and from the Spark framework. Join us on this BigData Montréal meetup to learn about Spark and HBase but mostly how they integrate together. This presentation will be followed by a demonstration of how to implement a pipeline to consumer data from a Kafka queue and get it transferred into HBase then indexed into SOLR, using Spark Streaming.

Finally, you are also welcome to join us for some casual networking, in the same room, after the presentations, followed by a beer in a close by location.
