The BigWP meetup is open to developers, product managers, and editorial teams who run large, high-traffic WordPress sites. If you plan on attending, please be sure to RSVP as space is limited.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m., presentations will begin at 7 p.m. We will have 4 "flash talk" presentations, each lasting 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions.
• Jonathan Wold, XWP: Growing Your Internal WP Team
• Matt Johnson, Alley Interactive: Object Oriented Content Migration
• Paul Schrieber, FiveThirtyEight: Delivering the news over HTTPS
• Jeff Sternberg, Observer: Print Production in WordPress @Observer
Afterwards, we'll head out for drinks and networking.
A meetup focused on issues concerning the operation, development, and scaling of big, high-traffic WordPress websites. Topics tend to be technical, but not exclusively—all are welcome, including folks from the editorial and business side.
Why is membership restricted?
WordPress is hugely popular, and the needs of many NYC-area WordPress users are already well-served by the excellent WordPress NYC Meetup Group.
We're evaluating member requests on a case-by-case basis to make sure it's a good fit for everyone, and that we stay focused to our discussions about running enterprise WordPress websites.
Where else can I find this meetup?
You can find the Big WP Meetup in London, San Francisco, Toronto, and New York.
