Abstract:

Pitt Fagan will give a presentation on Apache Spark focusing on the Spark Core, integrating Spark with an interactive notebook for experimentation on DataFrames, and showing examples from the SparkSQL library.

Bio: Pitt is the VP of Data Engineering at Earthling Interactive, a Madison-based software development company. He has worked in all phases of the data space for over fifteen years, and has been active in the local big data community for the past four years.
