Alexandra Adler, Northeast Regional Director, CleanTech Open

Alexandra is a skilled project manager, organizer and connector with a comprehensive understanding of the clean technology sector. Her enthusiasm for addressing the world’s energy and environmental challenges, for coordinating teams, and for connecting people to key resources and contacts to help them succeed led her to the Cleantech Open. Alexandra’s professional experience includes project management, communications and relationship management at both public and nonprofit organizations related to clean technology, energy and sustainability. In past roles she has overseen a wide range of projects including international trade missions, industry research and reports, new media communications and campaign organizing. Alexandra graduated with a degree in Sociology and Certificate in Environmental Policy from Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She enjoys practicing yoga, reading, eating Thai food, and watching TV sitcoms.

Dougan Sherwood, Director, Cambridge Innovation Center

Dougan oversees the company’s sales and relationship management functions, as well as its international outreach. Prior to his work at CIC, Dougan spent several years working in experiential education throughout the United States with a particular focus on leadership development for high achieving students. This work led him to found his own youth program in the American West that aimed to serve rising college freshmen. Dougan has also interned for the late Senator Edward Kennedy and served on the board of a non-profit helping children with HIV/AIDS. Currently, he organizes an annual bicycle fundraiser for injured service men and women and sits on the Board of Directors for Youth CITIES, a program that introduces students to social entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of the University of Utah.

Ben Einstein, Managing Director, Bolt

Ben Einstein is an experienced product designer and entrepreneur. Ben is currently the Managing Director of Bolt, a program built from the ground up to help promising early-stage hardware companies develop their products and get to market. Bolt provides companies with capital, staff, shop equipment, and extensive expertise with manufacturing and commercialization. Prior to starting Bolt, Ben ran Brainstream Design, a product design and development consultancy in Massachusetts. Ben has been directly responsible for bringing a long list of products to market covering diverse sectors including consumer electronics, high-performance audio, sporting goods and green energy.

 

Rohit Gupta, Director at  TechStars Boston.

                  Rohit was the co-founder of Grid Sensor, a startup providing mobile and  software solutions for the utility market. In this role, Rohit provided overall  direction in business and product development, as well as contributed on the  frontend web development. Previously, Rohit was Director of Business  Development at Payfone, where he managed partnerships with large digital merchants.
                  Rohit also worked as a venture capitalist at Opus Capital, where he sourced and  evaluated early-stage investment opportunities, specifically in the mobile, infrastructure,  and SaaS spaces.
                  Prior to Opus, Rohit worked at Accenture, where he was a consultant and served  as project manager and software architect for various companies in the telecommunications,  energy and software sectors. Rohit holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of  Technology, with a minor in Political Science.

 

Amir Eldad,                 Lead Partner, International Expansion, MassChallenge

 Amir is an entrepreneurial global hi-tech company builder, and a  practitioner of innovation-driven economic development. For more than 25 years,  Amir led his companies’ global Go-To-Market planning and execution across  Israel, France, the US and the rest of the world - while bridging the  multi-national cultural gap. Leveraging his global Sales, Marketing, Business  Development, Management and Board experience, Amir – through his consulting  practice A2E Partners - helps his client companies and public / government  organizations with a unique combination of Board-level perspective, C-level  planning and detail-oriented execution. Amir co-founded MassChallenge Israel, and is now co-leading MassChallenge  International Expansion. Amir received his undergraduate degree in Computer  Science at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology; he lives in Cambridge,  MA and is married with 3 children.
