Solubility
Learn what solubility is and experiment with different solutions.
All solids will dissolve in all liquids, to a certain degree. The amounts might be very small, and in those cases the solid is considered to be insoluble in the liquid. On the other hand, even when a solid is very soluble in a liquid, there is an upper limit to how much solid will actually dissolve; beyond that limit any additional solid will sit on the bottom of the vessel, undissolved. In that case, the solution is saturated.
