Conversion of BTC
Details
Based on how well the transfer goes through Bitpay and the banks, I feel we need to start approaching businesses in Cape Town to accept Bitcoin. Maybe look at taking out ads in the local papers and even possibly setting up a conference whereby we can get the word out and show business that BTC is worth accepting.
Points of discussion:
- What are the benefits of accepting Bitcoins for businesses
- How easy is it for a business to set up a Bitpay/Pay Connect account
- What platforms are available to facilitate this .i.e. Pay-point software
- What is the process (downloading wallet through to converting to Rands)
- How soon do the Bitcoin convert to Rands and are there any charges
- How safe is it
- What other businesses accept Bitcoin
