Last Meetup Overview & Our Next Event
November was our biggest meetup yet. Every meeting attracts new Bitcoiners, but November completely exceeded our expectations. Whether this was a result of the rising value of a bitcoin or all of the positive media attention, it is certain that Bitcoin fever is spreading through Montreal! With over 150 guests (https://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Embassy/photos/18957722/) it was difficult to find an empty spot in our meetup space during our November meetup.
Everyone who attended the meetup had the opportunity to try out the bill payment service Bylls (http://bylls.com/), talk to George Mandrik from Blockchain.info (https://blockchain.info/) as well as participate in our monthly Satoshi Square. As usual, all beginners were encouraged to join our chief ambassador Fabian’s workshop (http://bitcoinembassy.eventbrite.ca/) in order to learn all about Bitcoin basics.
Many local entrepreneurs announced their decision to accept Bitcoin payments for their goods and services and M. Jacobson, Founder of the Bitcoin Embassy, reminded us that in addition to continuing to promote Bitcoin, the Embassy team is always working diligently to open a dialogue with governments and financial institutions and introduce them to Bitcoin.
Don’t miss our next event, December 14th, 2:30, at the Bitcoin Embassy.

Call to the community
We are still looking for products and services to sell in our store and also for a store manager (http://acregroup.ca/fr/organizations/110-BitcoinEmbassy) to oversee its operations. If you would like to present a product or service in our space or if you know a technology-minded entrepreneur who could benefit from this partnership don’t hesitate to introduce them to us.
Other Activities
We are pleased to announce our newly redesigned website at http://bitcoinembassy.ca
As you may have noticed, it has changed significantly and we always welcome your feedback. We are hard at work ensuring that our site is full of relevant and helpful information. We are always working on adding new elements, however our next events (http://bitcoinembassy.ca/about/eventsandcommunity/calendar) are already posted and you’ll find the links to register directly on the website.
Spreading the Word
The Bitcoin Embassy offices are going to be noticeably quiet over the next few days. We have a delegate in London for the Bitcoin Expo 2013 (http://www.bitcoinexpo.co.uk/) and two more will be flying to Buenos Aires for the Latin American Bitcoin Conference (http://labitconf.com/).
