Washington, DC Bitcoin Users Group Meetup

The theme of this month's meeting is "Investing in Bitcoin."  Is it too late or still too early? We will discuss the risks, the upside potential, and possible events that could collapse the price or render this "experiment" irrelevant.  What is Bitcoin's intrinsic value? Does it even have one, since it is not real? Is it a currency, commodity, or internet play money?

Of course, we will have our usual roundtable discussion and open forum.  There are some new tech developments worth mentioning.

We'll talk tech and can do some trading of bitcoins. Bring your ideas, questions, and even your laptop if you'd like to demonstrate an idea or website. We meet at the North Side Social in Arlington, very near the Clarendon Metrorail Station on the Orange Line.  Parking is also easy to find.  The meeting starts at 7 PM but feel free to join some of us for dinner at 6:30.

Dave, thanks for joining us. Your expertise was greatly appreciated. Next month, I would like to get in to a more technical discussion about scaleability, transaction verification, and how to read the block transactions. Hope you can join us, and please, if you have any topics you would like to discuss, let me know.
