I decided to start this group to feed my interest in France and travel.

I visited Paris and the French countryside a few years ago and I cannot wait to go back. I spent an evening at The Ritz and it was like a dream. I cannot get the image out of my mind. I knew I had to do something. There are some awesome little French places in NYC that I'd love to check, too.

The word "Paris" here stands for all that is elegant and beautiful. France has a rich Black history (James Baldwin, Josephine Baker, Nina Simone, etc) and is known for welcoming the artist and romantic in all of us.

The purpose of this group is to join other black women who love France, have lived there, or wish to. There will be actual trips to France and also trips to warmer places including French Caribbean (St Barts, St Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, etc). We may fit in some other places too. These trips will not be group trips. These trips will be designed for the solo traveler who just wants the discounts of a group rate.

You will be free to do what you want, but on each trip I do like to have one dinner or drink together with the group. In no way, are you obligated to do more than that. The only difference is that you heard about it here.

Local meetups happen with 3 members or more.

You don't have to live in Brooklyn to join this group, but you should be in the NYC area. Join if you love to dream, have a free spirit, want a carefree life, and like to smile. This group is for dreamers whose visions include the best of what life has to offer, and appreciate the people they meet along the way.

The yearly dues are only $12 and are due by your third meetup, which is enough time to see if the group is for you.  Three or more missed meetups will lead to deletion from group.
