We are all about adventure, whether that be a remote, multi-day hike to an awe-inspiring camping spot on the top of a mountain, supping micro-brewery ales in some cool small bar, or pretty much anything in-between!

Our events are about an enjoyable mix of active pursuits - mostly outdoor, followed by a quality ale or two in a nearby pub, or maybe dinner, a picnic, or it might just be grabbing a 6-pack from your kayak’s dry sack or your overnight backpack!

All in all, we get groups of likeminded, sociable, outdoor adventurers together, to discover new places of beauty, get active and fit and push your boundaries, and try things you love or have always fancied having a go at.

While always having a fun and ‘all-comers welcome’ attitude, we like to mix up the levels of effort and skills sometimes - and we’re not talking about the beer drinking! So you can expect shorter distance events that may not need much or any skill levels or experience, but we are also keen to organise tough stuff for those with good fitness levels and experience, or prepared to put the training in to achieve the levels needed for upcoming activities.

Here’s just some of the diverse events we’ve held and others we have planned – and we’re all ears for your suggestions too! –

Hiking: from an afternoon suburban stroll to multi-day, mountainous treks at altitude, carrying 70L packs

Bikes: mountainbiking, road cycling, and touring – Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley, Awaba – Central Coast, Sydney to Gong…

Climbing: Indoor courses and curry, Blue Mountains outdoor rock climbing course

Extreme sports film festivals

White stuff: Cross-country skiing in the Snowies, snowboarding, snow shoeing

Canyoning in the Blueys – we go there a lot ;-)

Pressing wild flowers and writing poetry….NOT!

Music & beer festivals

We’re a bunch of green thinkers too, so there may be environmental volunteering weekends on offer, we always take everything with us and leave the bush pristine, and we car pool as much as we can, but we don’t knit our own muesli!

Skydiving

Camping: from glamping from your car to multi-day, minimalist, 2-minute noodles for brekkie, and tents the shape and size of coffins!

Adventure racing

Trail running

Canoeing: one-dayers and weekends camping under the stars

Weekends away and road trips, to anywhere with some mud or altitude or a brewery/winery, or preferably all three!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
