Details
In preparation for the contest season, Bloomsbury Speakers (http://www.bloomsburyspeakers.org.uk/) is delighted to welcome Lynne Parker, Founder and CEO of Funny Women, on Monday, 7st September.
Funny Women was founded by Lynne Parker in 2002 to help women find their voice through performing,
writing and using humour in business and everyday life.
The Funny Women Awards (http://funnywomen.com/funny-women-awards/) were launched in 2003, and have seen some fantastic acts pass through their doors who are now major names on the comedy circuit including Bridget Christie, Katherine Ryan, Andi Osho and Sarah Millican.
They run comedy workshops (http://funnywomen.com/event/funny-women-sketch-and-character-workshop/), weekend events and conferences in London, Manchester, Brighton and Edinburgh on stand up, comedy writing, improvisation, sketch and character, and ‘Time of the Month (http://funnywomen.com/event/funny-womens-time-of-the-month-9/)’ a scratch night to try out new comedy ideas.
Where to Start? Where to finish? What to put in the Middle?!
Is content more or less important than delivery? Can I be funny?
These sound like simple questions, but the answers are often far from obvious - and if you feel the same then Lynne's workshop on speaking humorously is for you!
