Rescheduled to June 1st due to bad weather conditions on May 4th.
Lets take a fairly easy trek up the Chattooga River from Russell Bridge on Hwy 28 to one of the many campsites along the river. The Chattooga River Trail leaves the parking area just before the bridge and heads up a ridge joining the river 1.5 to 2 miles in, however, we will be taking the lower trail as this stays close to the river and allows for better scenery and easier hiking. There are numerous campsites on the river and I'm sure you guys will be pleased. This section of the trail runs into the Lick Log Falls area with a total distance of approximately 3.7 miles, but I'm sure we will find a great campsite way before then. If you're looking for an easy hike and a nice little woods fix, this is you're meetup.
Thanks guys and see ya there,
