One of the things Adobe InDesign does better than any other application on the market today is allow designers, editors, and desktop publishing specialists to manage long, complicated documents. With every new release, Adobe expands InDesign's capabilities, giving its users more control.

Join us as Jane Edwards shows us just some of these capabilities. We will look at a general approach to long documents workflows, as well as specific long-documents features in InDesign, including:

• Using the book features Numbering pages across a book

• Using templates to create new chapters

• Creating and using paragraph and character styles

• Creating running headers using text variables

• Creating cross-references

• Creating footnotes

• Synchronizing book documents

• Creating a table of contents

• Creating and generating an index

This is a FREE event but you must register prior to attending here: http://www.indesignusergroup.com/chapters/baltimore/events/2647/

We would like to especially thank MacMedics (http://www.macmedics.com/) and ThinkB!G.LearnSmart (http://thinkbiglearnsmart.com/) for being our 2014 Chapter Gold Sponsors.
