B'nai Or Montreal Community Shul is thrilled to welcome Rabbi Goldie Milgram to Montreal! Join Reb Goldie, Fran Avni and Reb Sherril as we weave a magical evening of song, teaching, and storytelling. Come celebrate havdalah (the end of Shabbat) and share a special melaveh malka (light meal to end Shabbat) as we prepare to escort the Shabbos Queen on her way.
About Reb Goldie: Rabbi Goldie Milgram is the founder and director of Reclaiming Judaism. Known for her love of Judaism, inclusive, engaging teaching methods, careful scholarship and irrepressible humour, Reb Goldie is a widely published author and innovator of methods, resources and programs for meaningful Jewish living. Reb Goldie offers internationally acclaimed workshops, lectures, inservice training, as well as professional Jewish storytelling. Her newest book, acclaimed by the Jewish Book Council as an "extraordinary, vibrant anthology", is called "Mitzvah Stories: Seeds for Inspiration and Learning". Her programs have appeared at the United Nations, the American Psychiatric Association, the 92nd Street Y, the Museum for Jewish History, Smithsonian branches, universities, and congregations worldwide.
