You never know when a violent crime may happen to you. Are you prepared to defend yourself? Would you know what to do if someone grabbed you in a dark parking lot? Come and learn how to make it home alive!

You will learn the principles of balance and leverage that make it possible to defend yourself against a larger attacker, multiple attackers, even armed attackers. Learn what to do if you are cornered against a wall, sitting in a chair, or lying on the ground. This is not MMA or kickboxing. This is an art that's built for the average person and addresses real situations that you may encounter every day.

Come and learn confidence and discipline while you're learning a new skill. This art has enough to keep you challenged for a lifetime, while teaching techniques that you can use right away. Your instructor, Sensei Bill Wood, is a 2nd degree black belt in Judo and a 7th degree black belt in Ju Jutsu and has been practicing martial arts since the '70's.

Your training will begin with safety first. All students are taught how to fall without injury. Once you learn that, you are ready to begin throwing your opponent! We will also learn joint locks, pressure points, and the techniques used to subdue, control, and disarm your attacker.

Every student gets personalized instruction from Sensei Bill, tailored for their specific needs. Everyone progresses at their own pace and their own comfort level. You can come and watch before you decide to participate, or you can jump right in! Your first class is free!
