This group is dedicated to mutual support for fitness via running for beginners, 're-starts', and veterans....walkers too! Our runs will take place in and around Boerne / Fair Oaks Ranch. Currently our focus will be to run the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll 1/2 marathon or whole. Paces vary and we can accommodate most levels....This also can allow for walkers to join us.
There is no cost to sign up and you will be notified as we add group running events.
My current agenda --- I am beginning training for the San Antonio 1/2 marathon in November and plan to do it with about a 10 minute pace or better by race day.... NOT what I am doing now :o}
I would love to see some of you race day as well. I will also be continuing after the San Antono 1/2 to do the Houston 1/2 in January and the Austin 1/2 on Valentines Day .....and beyond! :o}
I am open to routes in/near your neighborhood. I am also transitioning to running (and walking) barefoot and have a lot of information that I will be posting in reference to that for anyone who is interested....This will also put me at a slower pace initially as I (and some of you???) transition to barefooting.
A co-organizer would also be welcome, so e-mail me if you want to participate in that capacity.
