Hello All,

We want to capture the story of a college student's journey after hitting rock bottom. His father can no longer support his expensive lifestyle in the city due to financial instability. Akash is no spoiled brat, but he's never had a problem with money inflow to afford the upper middle class college life. After exhausting all options (eg. he tries to steal something from a deli), Akash's guilt brings forth a more open understanding of the functioning of society and how it has become a money-fueled machine.

He graduates with a degree in economics, but knows that isn't his cup of coffee.  His journey helps him pursue what he grew up loving to do and allows him to understand that we are all made for something. You $hould live off of doing what you love, rather than giving money a higher priority and earning it through any means possible... leaving your passions behind.

The script is timed to be around 30 minutes. If not film festivals, then we have other plans for the film such as online distribution. The idea is to have this film seen by whoever believes in this philosophy, and inspire those that are waiting for the "right time" to leave their shitty jobs. Lets spread the word globally through the eyes of desis.

Akash Malhotra Nisha Sen

Akash is from a middle class first generation Indian family living in the US. Having been exposed to Indian culture throughout his childhood, he is accustomed to speaking in Hindi with his friends and parents. He is very much in love with his girlfriend Nisha (who he speaks in English to). Akash questions the norms of contemporary society while having his own doubts about which direction he will take in life.

Nisha is the girlfriend of the main character. She is from an upper-middle class family. Born/raised in America With a nurturing personality, Nisha supports Akash through his struggles, often times giving him advice or consoling him. She is also a strong headed person, who has built her philosophies on her own upbringing.

Many people have already auditioned for the film and we are trying to find those actors that suit the characters best. If we couldn't cast you as any of the main actors, we would still love to have your support by playing the extra roles and being on camera.

If you look at the characters, you will see that we need to cast kids from age 5 to the elderly. So this audition is open to all ages. Not everyone in the film is Indian so spread the word to everyone.

This film also includes original music for background scoring and the soundtrack.  So if you sing, or play any instruments, then we would love your involvement!

We are still looking to seal in our crew. Looking for a Director of Photography(your own equipment), Sound Recordist(your own equipment), Assistant Directors, Production Assistants, Editor, Special Effects, Sound Design, Make-Up,

We are looking for all the talent in the tri-state area that we can find.

I would love to attend. I don't have any acting experience but love to get involved with Indian cultural events and the subject of this film hits close to home for me which makes this more interesting. I will be attending but will be there around 6.
