This is a private group comprised of people I know personally. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of odd months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) at 11:00 a.m. at my home for potluck brunch and a discussion of that month's selection. Books are chosen from various subgenres of nonfiction, such as biography, memoir, history, science, philosophy, criticism, commentary, essays, and humor, to name a few. Selections include classics as well as contemporary titles. We will also occasionally read fiction, if it has a more philosophical bent.
Everything is better with food, of course, so each meeting is also a potluck brunch! Attendees are welcome to bring any books they no longer wish to keep, to swap with others. Any books left after the meeting will be donated to the local library.
