eMOBUS acquisition: how boostrappers close the deal

Details

We are full -- we will not be able to accommodate walk-ins for this event.

This Bootstrapper Breakfast features two attendees: Moe Arnaiz (https://www.linkedin.com/in/emobus), CEO of eMOBUS, and Mathieu Guilmineau (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mguilmineau), CTO of eMOBUS. They are going to share lessons learned bootstrapping eMOBUS through several evolutions in service model and technology infrastructure to a recent acquisition (http://info.asentinel.com/asentinel-acquires-emobus) by Asentinel (https://www.asentinel.com/).

Moe Arnaiz made these remarks during March-16-2016 panel put on by Corum (https://www.corumgroup.com/03-16-sellers-panel-moe-arnaiz-emobus) "In 2007 I was the founding CEO of eMOBUS. We provided software and services in the managed mobility services space. Over the next 8 years we bootstrapped, growing to over 500 innovative customers, including Netflix, Silicon Valley Bank and CBS Interactive. Understanding the importance of timing in business we started an exit process in February of 2015; our deal closed in October in 2015 and the lessons I learned in that process were:

Run a good business Focus on your customers Focus on your top and bottom lines Run your business like you might sell it one day, follow GAAP, keep financials clean, etc Don’t always follow the highest bid. You want to find the right partner." Come join entrepreneurs who eat problems for breakfast. At a Bootstrappers Breakfast® we have serious conversations about growing a business based on internal cashflow and organic profit: this is for founders who are actively bootstrapping a startup. It will be a chance to compare notes on operational, development, and business issues with peers.

We meet in the back room, so space is limited — Please RSVP.

Cost is a small fee to offset the coordination cost, everyone pays for their own breakfast;
