Hands On: Getting Started with node.js and Heroku

Bring your laptops. This Meetup will be a hands on introduction to node.js and Heroku. node.js is a platform for building high performance web apps using server-side JavaScript and non-blocking I/O. Heroku is a hugely popular Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider offering support for many platforms, including node.js. We'll also cover the basics of working with Git (using SSH). We'll start from the beginning, so no previous experience with any link in the tool chain is necessary.
