Estimating EPS: Analysts and The Crowd

We've been slow to announce the details on this meetup mostly because we've been so busy shipping code. But the good news is that we've shipped a lot, and that's going to enable some good content.

Jess Stauth (https://www.meetup.com/NYC-Algorithmic-Trading/events/106920332/) is back to talk about how to work with earnings estimates. She's going to talk about a few different strategies, including trading after the news is released. She's going to look at a couple of different data sources, including StarMine and a very unique set of data from Estimize (http://estimize.com/). That will enable us to compare the wisdom of the crowd to the pros.

At the end of her talk we're going to show you how to implement her strategies on Quantopian using the Estimize data.

In short, you can expect to both hear about the new features in Quantopian and learn a lot about trading on EPS estimates.

If you are driving, the best parking is in the open lots in Fort Point. There is one on A street, along the Fort Point Channel. Drive down Summer street, over the bridge, come to a set of lights.
