Special Presentation Night - Spark Under the Hood

We have one, special feature talk for this event.

Title: "Spark under the hood".

Short abstract: Tonight we are joined by Sameer Farooqui, client services engineer at Databricks. Sameer is in Boston this week to deliver a 1-day advanced class on Spark Core at the Big Data Tech Con conference.

In case you were not able to attend that, Sameer will be presenting a portion of that class tonight. His talk will focus on how Spark operates behind the scenes.

The talk will address:

1. How do the different Spark JVMs interact with each other?

2. What exactly happens when an Action is called on an RDD?

3. How can developers leverage their knowledge of Spark's architecture to write more efficient Spark code?
