What we’re about
I'm starting this to develop a fun, close-knit group for a monthly wine tasting. I'm hoping we can rotate hosting at our apartments or houses, and the group may develop into more where we can explore tastings at local venues in Boston. People who enjoy all types of wine are welcome. I would love to meet new people that appreciate sharing good wine together.

See all- If Jura lookin’ for new summer wines…Russell's Place, Dedham, AL
I am looking forward to hosting my fourth Blind Wine Tasting. To check out some unique French wines, we will taste the tiny Jura region. There are generally five grape varieties grown and bottled in the Jura: the whites Chardonnay and Savagnin, and reds Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. While the wines are relatively unknown around here, this region produces some really distinctive, natural, and enjoyable summer sippers. Please note that these wines are somewhat obscure and may be quite difficult to find at many wine shops, so we advise to plan ahead and ask around for availability if need be.
Please bring a bottle of still white or red wine from the Jura region of France (let’s say no sparkling, rose, or Vin Jaune for this evening) in a paper wine bag, four glasses, and a snack or appetizer to share. Location will be at my home in Dedham. Address will be shared the day before, street parking available and walking distance from the Endicott commuter rail T stop. Make sure you can receive emails from Meetup since the details will be provided through there. Also, please update your RSVP if plans change and you are unable to attend, for those on the waitlist.
The start time is 5:00pm on Saturday 15-June for some sparkling/snacks/intros/conversation, and the blind tasting will begin at 5:30-45ish. And just a heads up that my kids (7 and 8) will be around, so please be prepared for and OK with a potential interruption or two. Will be tasting outdoors on porch if weather permits. We also have a short haired cat who will stay upstairs.

Lambrusco, the sparkling gem of Italy, enchants with its lively bubbles and vibrant flavors. Crafted from indigenous Lambrusco grapes, it offers refreshing acidity, notes of red berries, and a hint of florals, culminating in a delightful finish. Perfect for any occasion, Lambrusco embodies the spirit of Italian conviviality and celebration. Cheers to moments filled with sparkle and sophistication!
Jyoti & Danielle are looking forward to hosting their first Blind Wine Tasting! Jyoti has had a love of Lambrusco for many years. The combination of its light & refreshing feel and its versatility to pair with many cuisines makes it a winning summer wine. Danielle loves any sparkling and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of Lambrusco!
Please bring a bottle of Lambrusco, pre-chilled, in a paper wine bag, 4 glasses, and an appetizer or sweet to share. Would be great to have an Italian spread of options, but any other cuisines would pair well with Lambrusco too!
We plan on providing pasta (gluten-free and with gluten) with sauce and a one-pot Italian dish at the host's discretion.
Location will be at Jyoti's home in Newton (address to be shared the day before). There is ample street parking, a bus stop 52/Centre St within a short walk, and the Newton Centre T stop about 1 mile away.
Make sure you adjust your privacy settings for the Boston Blind Wine Tasting group in order to receive details. Danielle will also post her cell too in the email in case you need to contact us directly.
The start time on June 28th is 6:30pm for some sparkling/snacks/intros/conversation, and the blind tasting will begin at 7ish.
We plan to have this tasting outside on the patio, but have space inside in case of inclement weather. Please make sure to dress for an evening under the stars as we sip them in our glasses!
