3rd Annual Boston Storytelling Festival@ Boston Public Library

"It’s that magical time of year; it’s dark, we’ve survived our first blizzard, it has been cold and will continue to be cold - maybe forever.  For those of us who aren’t spending February Vacation in the Bahamas, there’s a small light a bit closer to home.  In honor of the oldest human tradition the Boston Public Library will be hosting the third annual Boston Storytelling Festival on Saturday, Feb 15th, 2014.  We’re inviting people (big and small) to gather around the proverbial fire for a variety of storytelling experiences -- including workshops, folk and fairy tales and a themed slam."

"Storytelling is our 'birthright' art.  We aim to reacquaint people with their own creativity and imaginations. In doing so, we bring people together in meaningful and rewarding way." – Norah Dooley, co-founder and Executive Director.

We are planning to join the afternoon sessions although it is a full day event starting 9:30 am.

12:30 - 2 pm Workshop includes: From Page to Stage  Personal Narrative

2pm - 4:30pm Storytellers “for the 21st century”

"Best of all? Honoring our commitment to bring storytelling to the widest audience possible, massmouth, inc. presents this entire event FREE and open to the public. In order to secure a place in your workshop(s) of choice, pre-registration is strongly recommended, though not required."

Hey folks, From what I see on: https://www.facebook.com/events/1398203093765179/?previousaction=join&source=1

this event is "FREE and open to the public." I plan on being there at 11:00. According to the schedule from Facebook, it looks like there will be a 90-minute break between 12:30-2:00, but there will be workshops. Here's an idea: Let's meet by the entrance of the Rabb Lecture Hall, which is on the Lower Level at 11:00. We will go in when there's a break between stories. Questions/Comments, feel free to share them here.

Hi, are we meeting in Rabb Lecture Hall? or is that where the conference is being held? Have not been to events with this group before, so wondered how I would find you at Library. Thanks, Melissa
