Edward Kmett on Propagators

This month Edward Kmett will be speaking about his recent investigations into propagators, a framework for bidirectional and parallel computation. He'll explain the basic ideas behind them, and, time permitting, his ideas for connecting them to other areas in computer science research, such as LVars, SAT solving, integer linear programming, constraint programming, conflict-free replicated data types and Datalog, and then stealing techniques used to make those other domains efficient for the rest of the propagator problems.

Logistics:

If you can, please plan on arriving between 6:45pm and 7pm, but there will be someone in the lobby to greet stragglers.
